The New Mexico National Guard Hall of Honor, established in 2019, serves as a prestigious recognition of the valor and dedication demonstrated by members of the New Mexico National Guard. This esteemed program honors New Mexicans, both living and deceased, who have served in the New Mexico National Guard with exceptional distinction, contributing significantly to their communities, state, and nation.
The Hall of Honor celebrates the rich history and legacy of the New Mexico National Guard by acknowledging those individuals whose service and sacrifices have had a lasting impact. The inductees exemplify the core values of integrity, courage, and commitment, reflecting the highest standards of military service.

Maj. Gen. Charles Sage
Former New Mexico National Guard Adjutant General and 2-200th Coast Artillery “Battling Bastards” Commander in the Philippines.

Brig. Gen. James “Schultz” Womack
Former New Mexico Air National Guard Chief of Staff and highly decorated combat pilot in the Vietnam War with the 188th Fighter Squadron.

Brig. Gen. Alex Garcia
Former New Mexico National Guard Assistant Adjutant General and pioneer in developing Army and Air joint capabilities as well as integrating the Drug Demand Reduction Program into New Mexico schools.
